 As a Web Developer, you will monitor the stability of the corporate websites and be responsible for importing/exporting data from multiple systems.  You will also assist in the development, testing, deployment, and documentation of new applications for Sleep Country Canada, Dormez-Vous, and Sleep America while and maintaining existing applications.

 The applications range from internal and external websites to custom applications and database systems. You will participate in project meetings and effectively communicate project status and challenges.

 

Your Role:

·  Monitor stability and performance of corporate websites

·  Complete the import/export of data from multiple systems

·  Set up development, testing, and production environments

·  Ensure that all interfaces between applications are working as expected

·  Design, build, test, debug, and deploy applications

·   Work with internal and third-party resources on projects

·   Provide project documentation and regular system health reports

 

What you Bring:

·  Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or industry experience

·  Three to five years of experience in a similar position

· Strong web application development skills

· Experience and proven proficiency in the following technologies:

o Ruby on Rails

o MySQL

o PHP

o ASP.net

o Microsoft SQL Server

o IIS

o  Microsoft Visual Studio

o HTML

· Working knowledge of SQL databases, stored procedures, SQL maintenance tasks

· Familiarity with object-oriented design

· Experience working on desktop applications using VB.net or C#

· Experience in the full system development lifecycle

· Knowledge or experience in the following technologies would be considered strong assets:

o  SAP Business Objects

o  Salesforce

o   AIX

·  Can work on assigned tasks independently or as part of a team.

·  Strong communication skills

·  Excellent analytical and proven-solving skills

· Be aware of and abide by all company policies and procedures
