No support
We purchased the king size Serta Persan after trying the queen in-store. The queen felt alright when we tried it. However, when we took delivery of the king, the mattress felt way too soft. There was no support whatsoever. My back became sore after one night, and remained sore for the entire three weeks we slept in it. Worse, the edges of the pillowtop are just as overly soft as the rest of it, and collapse when you roll to the edge; you feel that you are about to spill right out of bed and onto the floor. Fortunately, Sleep Country is excellent with their 60 Day Comfort Guarantee, and after two weeks we were able to exchange it for a 2013 Kingsdown Santana mattress with no hassle whatsoever. The Kingsdown Santana mattress/box spring combo cost a lot more, but is worth every penny; my back stopped aching within 3 nights of sleeping in it, thus confirming that the Serta was the cause of my back pain. In my opinion, the Serta Persan is a really terrible bed due to complete lack of support and flimsy edges. Spend the extra money on the Kingsdown Santana or something of similar quality.

Serta Perfect Sleeper Persan Plush Pillowtop
I bought this mattress about 3 months ago and I must say my quality of sleep is so much better! I have RA and with my old mattress I would have a terrible sleep waking up frequently due to stiff and sour legs and arms. It took about 1 1/2 months before I started to feel the difference but now I pretty much sleep through the night and I don't wake up feeling like the tin man anymore!I love this mattress!

serta perfect sleeper persan, king set
I have had my new mattress set for approximately 1 month now.It is very comfortable and supportive.I have rotated mattress 180` every 2 weeks. twice now and do not see any body impressions so far. My only con so far is the edge of mattress is supposed to be 360` foam encased for total edge support. You feel like you could slide off while sitting on the edge.

No Back Support
We bought this 2 weeks ago and it was delivered one week ago. After one week, I have worse back pain than I did before. My last mattress was 14 years old. The center seems to sag. It does not provide any back support and seems to keep my back at an unnatural alignment. At first I had neck and shoulder pain, so I bought a new pillow thinking I just needed better neck support. Now I have lower back pain. We were told that the pocketed coils should prevent transfer of motion, but the addition of a second person in bed makes the mattress sag even more (made worse by the fact that my husband is heavier than I am.) If you like overly soft mattresses and are not concerned about back support, then you may like this. If you need back support then I do not recommend this mattress.
