I've had this bed for about 10 months and am very satisfied. Before getting it I didn't realize how much I was working to get comfortable during my sleep. With this bed, rather than me trying to hold myself in a comfortable position, the bed holds me. The memory foam conforms to me rather than me conforming to the bed. I get a feeling of being held by the bed while I'm sleeping so that my muscles can relax. So the bed does the work during the night. Consequently, I awake feeling rested to a far greater extent than with previous beds. My only complaint would be the bad smell the foam produces when the mattress is brand new. That only lasted a couple of days and I haven't noticed it at all since then.
I got this mattress over two months ago and I am still looking forward to going to bed every night. It is honestly like sleeping on a cloud.. the right kind of softness that cradles every inch of your body. Now it is a soft mattress, so if you like firm then I'm sure you wouldn't have this mattress in your options. It was a tiny bit firmer than the store model, but that's to be expected (from so many people trying it out). Keep in mind that it's only slightly firmer but still amazing. Highly recommend this for anyone who loves a nice soft mattress.
we purchased this mattress 2 months ago and it has been the best mattress we have ever slept on. It does take a little time to adapt to your body when you first get in but once adjusted you get a perfect nights sleep. If you tend to roll over a lot trying to get to sleep this slow adjustment might bother you. I have hip problems and this mattress does not bother my old bones at all. There is almost zero movement when your partner moves or gets up or into the bed. A true pleasure to sleep on. I would highly recomend this bed,
We have been sleeping on this bed for 4 weeks now and I have been waking up with lower back and shoulder pain (I am a 75% back sleeper and turn to the side when uncomfortable). The problem is the top layer is too soft and does not allow for proper spine alignment (posterior sinks in too much causing exaggerated curvature). At the store this mattress felt great! But in reality it is far too soft - look to the Aster model for a firmer top. We are exchanging this for the Serta iComfort Oracle which is far more firmer and to me more comfortable than the Optimum Soliel model.
i have had this bed for several weeks now--when it first came i found it to be too hard- much harder than in the store, however i was told to expect this- my sales lady told me about this and also to walk on it for 15-20 minutes and this would help break in the bed--well i have a very bad back and had to get my sister to do the bed walking but what a difference this made- i have had an excellent night's sleep from day one--and for someone like me )who had a broken back and several surgeries) this means a lot--i love love love this bed--if you prefer or need a firm bed i wouldn't recommend this bed but for everyone else, yes
We were shopping for a king pillow top soft mattress that will provide a pleasant comfort and good back support as well as having a good structure that will not deform for at least 10 years. This matrass was strongly recommended by Sleep country sales person as top option and according to the sales person it will not have an indent of more than 0.25” over 20 years. I was a bit surprised as this mattress has no metal parts or springs and all its construction is based on various sections and layers of foam with memory foam on the top layer. Checking it out at the store made us for few seconds it looked very comfortable but after using it for three (3) weeks now we decided to return it and exchange it because of the following reasons:
1-The matrass has developed 2 wide indent sections of about 1 to 2 inches in depth at the shoulders area and center body and this stayed that way during the day so the memory foam did not return to the original state. I did not expect having this after 3 weeks of use.
2- My wife complained about a heat and sweating that accrued every night since we started using it.
3-I felt like sinking into the memory foam with no ability to turn around easily and since you sink in you cannot get off the matrass easily as it form a deep indent relative to the edge.
I feel like when we finally got the kids to sleep until morning. Amazing! I have fibromyalgia and getting comfortable and staying asleep can be very difficult but on this mattress I not only sleep through the night but wake up able to move without pain. I highly recommend this mattress.
After 24 years of Marriage and the same Mattress, it was time for a change. The Mattress that is ;) I woke up always in pain and couldnt sleep well at night for the longest time.
So, Hubby and I went to the Sleep Country here in Newmarket at the beginning of April and we were approached by Dharm. We explained our situation to him and he showed us several different mattresses and had us lie down on each of them. The Cava was by far the most comfortable and I almost fell asleep on the one in the store. We purchased it. When we brought our daughter over later she lay down on it and she said she wanted one too. Sorry kiddo, you have to wait like we did ;) Dharm was awesome and very professional and now we have had the mattress for 3 weeks and love it to bits. Thank you Sleep Country for this wonderful transaction.
My husband and I chose this mattress after trying out a bunch of mattresses. He likes a fairly firm mattress and I like mine not quite so firm. We both agreed on this mattress. We've had it now for nearly a month and we both LOVE it. We did not have any adjustment period, no stiffness or sore muscles. I used to get stiff and sore by morning and I'd be awake early all the time due to this. Now I wake up comfortable and not at all stiff in the morning. Just love it!
I've had this mattress for about 3months now and it's very comfortable for me. It DID take some time to break in for me, I actually spent some time searching tags to see if the comfort level was listed anywhere to make sure I did in fact get a 'soft' mattress.
I didn't notice any weird smells or anything when new, but the 'fresh' smell faded.
It's a good compromise between a traditional spring mattress and the tempurpedic style memory foam that feels like you're sinking into quicksand. I would say it's 95% as comfortable at relieving pressure points, but it reacts more like a 'normal' mattress. when i tried the tempurpedic it felt like everytime i moved there was a little delay, and then I sank into the mattress. I'm sure I would have gotten used to it, but the Sealy felt really nice to me as is.
I have the sealy cava (memory foam)mattress. I have tried to get used to the mattress, but it only causes progressive to severe aching to the hip/leg while trying sleeping on my side. I should have bought another tempura this I now know.
I've had this mattress for just over two weeks. It's wonderful! I did not experience any break in period, it was comfortable right from the first night. I haven't woken with a sore back since I've had the mattress. I highly recommend it.
Best sleep I have had in a while. The gel infused memory foam helps a little with night sweats. The foam is still stiff but its slowly breaking in.
